Pantone's Color of the Year 2013 ~ Emerald

 

Pantone has just released it's color of the year for 2013 and it is the lively and radiant, lush EMERALD green - PANTONE 17-5641!

 

 

Emerald is a vivid green that enhances our sense of well-being by inspiring insight and promoting balance and harmony. It is most often associated with brilliant, precious gemstones, the perception of Emerald is luxurious and sophisticated. This luminous and magnificent hue has been the color of new life, growth, renewal and prosperity in many religions and cultures and represents healing and unity as well. Green is definitely the color regeneration.

Globe Cinema Give Away ~ "Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel"

 

 

I am giving away double passes to the Globe Cinema's film called "Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has to Travel" about fashion icon DianaVreeland. Diana was a noted columnist and editor in the fashion industry and worked for Harper's Bazaar for twenty-five years before becoming editor-in-chief of and Vogue. She was also on the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame.
 

 

The film showcases her fifty year reign as the “Empress of Fashion,” she launched Twiggy, advised Jackie Onassis, and sparked countless trends that have withstood the test of time. This film is an intimate portrait and a vibrant celebration, commemorating the iconic life of one of the most influential women in fashion, beauty and publishing, of the twentieth century.
